A. K. M Ismail - Director

Mr. Ismail has a 30 years of valuable experience and infuses a proactive and results-oriented approach into the organization. He is based out of London and oversees strategic business development for Vcidex.

Mr. Ismail graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1984 and his extensive industry experience includes:

• DBS Bank, Singapore (1984- 1993) initially as an international loans officer and then in the real estate unit of the corporate banking division, rising to the rank of assistant Vice President
• Real estate unit of Citibank, Singapore (1993-2001) was promoted to Vice President and then became a Director (and later head) of Citibank's Offshore Business Unit. In 1999 he became the Head of its Restructuring and Recapitalization Unit where he managed the bank's portfolio of credit intensive deals which required restructuring and recapitalization efforts.
• Managing Director of Asia Pacific Investments PLC (2001-2008) working both in London and Singapore involved in restructuring and project finance. He was responsible for arranging the project finance for the mining transactions of the group.
• Conducted many courses for Singapore's Institute of Banking and Finance (1988-1994) in fields of real estate, project finance and capital markets. Since then he has still been conducting regular seminars in-house.
